News for October 20-31

Hi!!!
The theme I decided to go with for the gift basket is "Mr Clean." Please send any new cleaning supplies you can think of. Hopefully we can make a fun basket that EVERYONE will want to buy!

Please plan on coming to the Halloween carnival. It really was a fun time last year, and I know they are doing even more fun things. I think the spook alley is the best in the valley! You can buy your tickets before that night, call the  school for more information.

Parent Teacher conferences are being held the first Wednesday and Thursday of November. Look for a note in your child's homework. It needs to come back ASAP so I can get you all scheduled. I love to have the students come with their parents, so please bring them.

I hope you are using the PLATO at home. You can find the link on the sidebar of this blog. Just click on the district link and the children know what to do from there. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call.

Lunches for the last week of October are:
Oct 25: Canadian bacon pizza, peas and carrots, breadsticks, pears and milk.
Oct 26: Lasagna, tossed salad with crispy rice noodle, roll, pineapple and milk.
Oct 27: Hamburger gravy and mashed potatoes, corn, whole wheat roll, oranges wedges, and milk.
Oct 28: Chicken pattie, green beans, rice, whole wheat roll, frozen juice bar, and milk.
Oct 29: Wizard's brew, rabbit food, sticky bun, frog eyes, and ghostly beverage.

It has been really fun getting to know your children! Here are a few more kiddos on my 'favorites' list: (Actually, they all are!)

Hannah always tries to stay with whatever task she has to get it done first. She is a thoughtful friend who tries really hard to be nice to everyone--I really appreciate that!

Joe makes us all laugh when he reads with his monster voice. He is a great writer and gives me a lot of information when he is asked to journal.

Marcelina is quiet in class and always does her work neatly and well. I was proud of her this week when she sang the "Star Spangled Banner" to the whole school! She was GREAT!

Justin is very observant when we do the math board. He can figure out the pattern of the day really fast! He also has fun 'tells' for show and tell day.

Kylee is a really good reader. She always gets her work done, and done well. I know I can count on Kylee to help me when I need it.

Bridger makes us all laugh. In addition to his sense of humor, he is so good at the math board. He can come up with some really complex equations for the number of the day.

Thank you all for the support you give to your child's education! I couldn't do it without you!
